So that you are aware, I use a variety of tools to verify assignments.
Students cheat for various reasons, but if you feel the need to cheat in this class, don’t. Speak to me instead. Here's why some students cheat: running out of time, not feeling confident in your skills, thinking that it is easier. You don’t have to tell me that you were thinking about cheating - Just talk to me, so I can help you be successful.
Even if you don’t get caught, you are still cheating yourself. Your mark isn’t a true representation of your learning in this course. You haven’t been successful in passing, just in lying.
If you are found plagiarising your assignments, there will be consequences. The consequences will be decided based on level of seriousness and frequency of plagiarism. There are consequences outline in your student handbook as well.
Absences
In the case of absence due to illness, a note will be required on the day a student returns to class. Consult with the teacher to arrange a plan to complete the work that was missed.
