Course Outline
Entrepreneurship 9/10 is a course that offers an introduction to a variety of courses offered through the Business Department at Dover Bay. This course will help build an understanding of business skills and concepts in the context of current technology, ethical standards, and an increasingly global economy, empowering students with economic, financial, consumer, and communication skills for lifelong participation in local and global contexts.

- Social, ethical, and sustainability considerations that impact design.
- Complex tasks that require the sequencing of skills.
- Complex tasks that require different technologies and tools at different stages.
- Develop and maintain a personal time management system, and a network of business contacts.
- Demonstrate a variety of ways to solve financial problems.
- Explain how the value of currency and investments change over time.
- Presenting on a variety of topics for a specific audience using appropriate communication skills.
- Apply interpersonal and teamwork skills to generate alternative solutions to business problems or challenges.
- Understanding business principles such as Supply and Demand, Sales, Economics, Taxes, etc.
- Demonstrate personal budgeting and financial planning skills.
Course Evaluation:

In accordance with the ministries new competency scale all student’s assignments, projects, presentations, and tests will be assessed within the following categories:

- Projects, Presentations, and Assignments = 100%
- Contribute to the class in a positive and appropriate manner.
- Keep a neat, organized and complete notebook an H: Drive
- Attend classes daily & on time and be prepared to work and contribute to the class.
- Participate in class discussions.
- Complete assigned work.
- In the case of absence due to illness, a note will be required. And the student must make up the work missed due to this illness.
